The VF Series was introduced in 2013 with a strong four-year production run until Holden’s closure in 2017. While Holden’s flagship Commodore SS and SSV proved popular, HSV saw great popularity with it’s Gen-F range, particular the supercharged GTS. The star of the show was GTS’ sought-after 6.2 supercharged LSA engine, good for 430kw. The Gen-F2 range saw the introduction of the GTSR, with considerable upgrades included over the GTS.
This particular example is a 2017 HSV GTSR, leaving HSV’s former Clayton manufacturing facility in a subtle shade of Heron White as Build No. 0688. The white exterior is complimented with a set of SV Panorama forged alloy wheels, finished in ‘Hyper Dark Stainless’. The GTSR specific front bumper, front quarters, rear bumper and spoiler add to the iconic and aggressive styling commanded by GTSR. This GTSR also features a gloss black roof.
The contrasting alcantara and leather bolstered seats offer a comfortable yet focused driving experience, complimented with alcantara accents throughout. The HSV specific Enhanced Driver Interface and GTSR alcantara wrapped steering wheel offer a special yet engaging driving experience. This example is also optioned with an electric sunroof.
As standard GTSR equipment, the 435kw 6.2 litre supercharged LSA engine is fitted. However, this example is optioned with the 6-speed automatic transmission, making for easy cruising abilities. Since leaving the factory, modifications have been undertaken to the LSA powerplant. Visually, a Yellah Terra throttle body, Harrop pulley and side air box intake can be seen in the engine bay. An aftermarket camshaft can also be heard while the engine is running, however documentation for this work is not available. An in person viewing is recommended for prospective buyers.
