1984 HOLDEN COMMODORE VK HDT BROCK LM5000
This vehicle is the genuine article, matching numbers, ALL TAGS IN PLACE etc. Not a tribute or clone. Has not been fiddled with or given any makeovers. Original books are only available for viewing to the final purchaser. This vehicle has excellent investment potential.
Unless you are an HDT aficionado this one maybe a discovery for some and now of course even more poignant as part of Holden's relationship with HDT and of course the master, #05 Peter Brock.
The VK LM5000 was the first VK released by HDT and built to celebrate their foray with Bob Jane to the 24 Hour Le Mans to drive a Porsche 956. ***** (see below for backstory)
At time of model release the LM5000 pack was a hefty $4350 option on top of the base price.
The LM5000 was also an interim model before the release of the main VK series, Irmscher alloys (detailed with black), original archetypal blue Scheel seat interior, Brock autographed Momo steering wheel while the outside features the Australian flag on the front fenders along with Brock’s signature and a 5.0 badge.
*****For the true enthusiast this link is a must read of a saga and hope bigger than Ben Hur and a cast of Australian motorsport royalty re their ill fated campaign.
