2003 MERCEDES-BENZ E500 - $24000

The W211 E-Class series was introduced in 2002, following large changes over the outgoing
third-generation W210 series. Following a successful production run, a face-lift was
introduced in 2006 and with it came the E550, increasing displacement to 5.5 litres over the
5.0 litre E500. AMG examples were also produced under E55 and E63.

This example is a 2003 Mercedes-Benz E500 finished in a sedate shade of dark blue. While
the original wheels are no longer present, a set of 19 inch gloss black with mirror lip Simmons
OM-1 are fitted at each corner. Most notable, the factory body kit has been replaced with
what is believed to be a Wald International Sports Line aero package, however it is yet to be
confirmed if it is a genuine Wald example of this aero kit. The aggressive styling of this body
aero includes the front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper and boot lip. Aftermarket chrome
highlights have been fitted around the rear taillights, door pillars and door belt moulds. The
pre-facelift grille is also in place, with a feature Mercedes-Benz logo taking centre stage.
Coupled with the aftermarket Simmons OM-1s, this E-Class stands out from the crowd.

As for the interior, the black understated trim presents well and contrasts nicely with the dark
blue exterior. Subtle wood grain highlights appear on the centre console, seat adjustment
controls within the door trims and across the dash. The interior presents as per original
specification including the ‘Panorama Roof’.

While the E-Class presents as Mercedes-Benz’s midrange luxury vehicle, the E500 received
a 5.0 litre, 24-valve SOHC V8 that was good for 300hp. Mated with a 5-speed automatic
transmission, it creates a relaxed driving experience with power on tap when needed.
