1982 HOLDEN COMMODORE VH SS "GROUP 3 TRIBUTE" - $139999

The VH commodore came to fruition as the third series of First Generation Commodores,
following after the VB and VC respectively. A selection of light cosmetic revisions such as
headlights and the front grille were implemented. Variants such as the SL/E proved popular,

but in September of 1982, Holden introduced the ‘Commodore SS’…. a badge that has left a
legacy amongst Holden enthusiasts to this day.

This particular example is no exception, starting life as a genuine Maranello Red 308
Commodore SS. It has now been transformed into a “Group 3 Tribute”, featuring

a genuine HDT body kit. Attention to detail is implemented through the use of genuine

Holden/HDT parts. A set of genuine 19” Irmscher wheels complete the exterior and play a

reference to the original 15” wheels that were issued with Group 3s in the early 80s.

The interior is just as special, featuring a brand new SS interior of Dark Claret coloured
plastics and door cards, with Tweed Cloth inserts within the seats. A retro audio sound radio
as also been implemented, retaining an original look.

The excitement continues with the running gear. This “Group 3 Tribute” now runs a 355
stroker, housing a 650 double pump Holley, solid cam, roller rockers, forged pistons and
ceramic coated headers. Power is delivered through a turbo 350 transmission with a 2800
stall, and then distributed through a 9” differential. A long-range fuel tank with an internal
electric pump feeds the engine, while an MSD ignition manages the engine.

Built from an already capable genuine 308 VH SS base, this “Group 3 Tribute” is now ready
to hit the streets and turn heads with its 355 heart and Maranello Red looks. Seize this
opportunity and make this turn key cruiser yours.
