1972 VALIANT CHARGER RT E49- $350000

 

This Mercury Silver Charger was the actual Biante models car that all the Chargers were made from. All 1:18 and 1:64 models were made from this actual car.

It is one of 150 made and is had travelled a mere 39,000 miles. It was restored in the early eightys and has been on blocks every since. 

​

This car was optioned with the A87 track pack which consisted of 16.1 ratio steering box, 14x7 alloy wheels, heavy duty brake discs, adjustable rear suspension, limited slip differential and the rare race prepared 265 hemi engine producing 320 hp. 

​

Road tests recorded in this era put the average 1/4 mile time ay 14.1 seconds which blitzed the next quickest muscle car time of the mighty GTHO falcon at 15.6 seconds. 

​

The E49 would have easily taken our Bathurst if not for the pit crew not being able to put back on the red hot wheel nuts.
