1970 FORD XY FALCON GT - $284,999
The XY Falcon was introduced in October of 1970 replacing the XW series. The XY featured a facelift over the XW, with a redesigned set of rear taillights and front grille. The XY series is most noted for its GTHO models, and are considered a legend within the Bathurst realm.
This particular matching numbers GT example is a November 1970 build, sold new by Courtney & Patterson Ford in Heidelberg, Victoria. This GT is considered a 1 of 1 example in its particular specification. It was highly optioned in its day, featuring: Sunroof, air conditioning, 36 gallon fuel tank and a 8 track radio tape player to name a few. Externally, this GT is finished in Ultra White, matching its original factory specs. The black GT stripes and gold highlights to the side of the body create a striking contrast to the otherwise subtle white paint. The original black vinyl trim is a popular option, and presents beautifully.
The matching numbers 351 Cleveland V8 is still retained, running smoothly with the power to match.
A T-bar auto compliments the engine, and is also original equipment for this XY. A factory GT 9-inch differential completes the running gear.
This GT is in original condition and is not a nut and bolt restoration. This example has been well preserved in it's 51 year existence and is a must see for any Ford collector. Make this 1 of 1 optioned GT yours today.
