1968 CHEVROLET CORVETTE C3 - $104999
The C3 marked a major change in the Corvette lineage, with a completely redesigned body
and interior for 1968. The C3 was made available in a series of body styles including
traditional coupe and convertible, but also the ‘T-Top’, which featured two removable roof
panels.
The C3 Corvette borrowed the C2 generation chassis, retaining disk brakes at all four wheels
and fully independent suspension. 3 and 4 speed manual transmissions carried over from the
previous model. The engine line-up included the L79 327ci V8 as well as several variants of
the 427ci V8. The showstopper for the C3 series was the L88 designated Corvette Stingrays,
featuring the mammoth 7 litre 427ci V8. The C3 series ceased production in 1982 after a 14-
year run.
This particular C3 is a 1968 model year Corvette with the desirable ‘T-Top’ solid panel
removable roof. The ‘T-Top’ gives the driver the opportunity to cruise in a coupe style format
with the flexibility of open air driving if desired. Being a ‘Left-Hook’, this example stands true
to how it would have left the C3 Corvette production line in St Louis, Missori.
Featuring a fresh coat of Tuxedo Black paint, the black leather interior compliments the

is still present as well as the various gauges, analogue clock and power windows.
Featuring a stout, fully rebuilt 427ci Big Block, power is manually controlled through a 4-
speed M22 Muncie gearbox. Power is distributed to the rear wheels through a Posi-Trac
3.70.01 differential. Heavy duty disk brakes feature at each corner, with the addition of a new
clutch, battery and radiator for piece of mind.
