The Camaro was introduced in 1967 with sights set on it’s direct competitor, the Ford
Mustang. The Camaro was received well, with over 200,000 examples produced across each
of the First-Generation models. The external styling of the 68’ Camaro was very similar to that
of the 67’. With subtle changes such as headlamp design, side indicators and tail lamps, the
quarter venting windows were removed due to Chevrolet’s introduction of the ‘Astro
Ventilation’ fresh air inlet system.

This immaculate example is a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro that has been converted to RHD.
Since leaving the factory, it has received extensive work throughout, including paintwork
completed by the previous owner in December of 2013. The bold colour choice is Tangelo
Orange with White Pearl, which highlights and accentuates the gorgeous coke-bottle styling
of first-generation Camaros. The engine bay, firewall, chassis rails, engine, rear tailpan, inner
frames, stub axles and control arms were also re-painted. At each corner are a set of original
Centreline Autodrag wheels (15x5.5 Fronts & 15x10 Rears with 3 3/8 back spacing). The suspension has received new upper and lower control arms, new bushes, new coil overs with adjustable shocks. In the rear, this Camaro now runs tubs with a 4 link and coilovers. Additionally, Willwood brakes feature front and rear as well as new brake pedal assembly, new brake lines, new handbrake cables, new steering rack, adjustable steering column and power steering pump.

As for the interior, all seats have been re-trimmed, complimented by new door cards, kick
panels and Dynamat sound deadening throughout. Additionally, new rubbers have been
installed throughout, seat extenders and new right and left door glass. Gauges and B&M
shifter complete the interior. Other miscellaneous items include: billet bonnet and boot hinges,
billet rear light surrounds and cable wiper kit.
