1965 FORD MUSTANG HARDTOP - $49,999

The First Generation of Mustang was introduced in 1964 and took the car world by storm with
a nine-year production run. Since then, the ‘Pony Cars’ have cemented their position of
authority within the American Muscle scene. The Mustang was distinctly designed with a long
bonnet and short rear deck and offered as a ‘hardtop’, ‘fastback’ and convertible. A range of
engines were made available, from the humble 200ci Inline-six to the stout 428ci ‘Cobra Jet’
V8.

This particular example is a Ford Mustang Hardtop leaving Ford’s Californian manufacturing
facility in 1965. The timeless 65’ Mustang body lines are nicely complimented by a subtle
shade of dark green, with original detailing still evident such as the ‘Mustang’ quarter badges,
front and rear chrome bumper overriders and rear quarter trims to name a few. A set of
Mustang GT wheels appear at each corner and complete the period correct look of this
excellent Mustang Hardtop.

The black vinyl interior is understated in it’s appearance but provides for a comfortable driving
experience. The 65' Mustang interior details are present including the steering wheel, stainless dash
highlights, instrumentation cluster and automatic shifter. The vinyl seats and door trims
present well and neatly compliment the interior

Tagged as a ‘T’ Code Mustang Hardtop, this example came standard with Ford's 200ci 6-
cylinder motor. The straight 6 as since been replaced with a 289ci V8 motor, offering a true
period correct driving experience and the smooth sounds of a carburetted Ford V8. The 289ci is mated to an automatic transmission providing effortless cruising abilities.

As a capable cruiser with power and looks to match, this 1965 Ford Mustang Hardtop is
perfect for an enjoyable weekend driving experience.
