The ‘Bel Air’ was introduced in 1950 as a full-sized, two-door hardtop, transiting to a premium
trim level in 1953 for subsequent models that followed. The popular second-generation was
introduced in 1955, available in hardtop, sedan and convertible options with straight 6 and
small-block V8 engine options on offer. Second-generation production ran until 1957.
